Disclaimer

CentralCoastWebDesigner (CCWD) is a newly created resource website for local Central Coast businesses who want to improve their online presence without spending a fortune. Let me help you by providing valuable tools and resources that save you time and money and make your website work for you.

Being in the web industry since 2005, everyday I get asked questions like ?what?s the best way to create a website?, ?I have a great idea to sell a product but don?t know how to create the website? or ?how do I achieve a certain task?, which is the reason I created this website. Having this website means I can send people that ask questions to this resource where they can learn how to do the things they?re asking. The question I get asked once they go through the site is why do you offer everything for free? And it?s usually followed up with how do you make money?

So I?ve created this page to answer How is CCWD funded, and why it matters to you.

Why is CCWD free?

As a small business either starting out or well established, it?s not often that you have a large budget to spend on tools for marketing and training. However those two things are crucial for success. I?m on the computer day in day out using the resources listed, so it makes sense to share these with other businesses so they can learn as well. Plus, these are all things you can easily learn, I’m just taking the time to make it easy to understand and easily accessible to you.

I started CCWD in 2018 with a single goal: create a resource that makes it easy for small businesses to improve their online presence while saving them time and money. My goal is to help local Central Coast small businesses compete with the big guys. Simply put, I created CCWD to offer everyone what we wish we had when we first started out in business.

How Is CCWD funded?

I have always believed in being honest and transparent with my audience. In my opinion, that?s the only way to build a strong community.

Running a website like CCWD that helps potentially thousands of people each month requires significant investment. Both on the server infrastructure part as well as my time for the content creation part.

I do my best to write and provide free WordPress tutorials and marketing tips each week that businesses can learn from and implement into their own websites.

Each month I have expenses such as website hosting so yes, I have to make some money otherwise I would not be able to maintain the website and would have to shut the site down.

Below is the primary source that funds CCWD.

Referral fees

Referral fees are received when you buy services from recommended companies.

I only recommend products that I believe will add value to the community. I myself have thoroughly tested and use all products that are recommended or they have been used and recommended by my clients. All opinions are my own, and I do not accept payments for positive reviews.

This monetisation method is called affiliate marketing. The biggest brands on the internet offer affiliate programs such as Amazon, eBay, Google, etc. Many of your favourite sites use affiliate marketing to pay the bills.

The only difference is that not everyone tells their users how they make money.

Most of the time you will see a special link unique to each website that track referrals such as:

https://www.centralcoastwebdesigner.com/refer/wpengine/

When you click on these links, you are tagged with a special cookie to track the referral. If you end up buying the product, then they pay me a referral fee/commission.

The referral fees vary for each product. For a marketing book that you may purchase, I might earn $1. For a premium WordPress theme, I might earn $10.

Question #1 ? Does it cost me more money?
No, absolutely not. In most cases, I actively seek out deals that will actually save you money.
My aim is for CCWD to become an authority website, where vendors offer our readers exclusive discounts.

For example, if you were to purchase a managed WordPress hosting plan from WPEngine, you would normally pay $420USD for a 12 month plan. However if you purchase it by using our referral link, you will save 20% on annual plans which is equal to 2 months free.

Please check out our Deals page to find more deals.

Question #2 ? Do you see my personal details?
Not at all. I don?t see any personal information i.e name, email, address, credit card, etc.
The only thing I see is that an anonymous user made a purchase on date/time and which product they bought.

How can you help me?

Sites like CCWD takes a lot of investment to operate in both time and money. I operate it by myself and dedicate my time to writing the tutorials and maintaining the website.

That?s why I appreciate your help. Below are a few ways you can help me:

  • If you?re thinking of purchasing a product listed, then please buy it using a CCWD referral link.
  • If you?re using a product that I recommend, then please leave your review in the comments as this helps others find great products too.
  • Spread the word by sharing the website and marketing tutorials with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Why should you help me?

There are all of these so-called ?experts? selling WordPress training for hundreds of dollars ? all of which if you do a thorough web search, you can find for free.

There are also a heap of companies that talk the talk about creating quality websites and how they will help you grow it, so they get you in the door, happily take your money, build a basic website and then leave you high and dry to work out what to do with it next. Therefore, my readers best interest is my #1 priority.

All of the WordPress tutorials are free because my goal for CCWD is to level the playing field for Central Coast small businesses, improve the online community so all of us can grow and compete with the big guys.

If you?ve found CCWD to be helpful, then I hope that you will help support it, so I can continue working towards my mission.

Thank you for support and for your time reading this, I really appreciate it.
